Okanagan Basin
Waterscape Poster & Teacher's Guide
The Okanagan Basin Waterscape Poster was created as a water education tool and illustrates topics of major importance to water resources in the Okanagan, including groundwater, domestic water use, and the effects of climate change and population growth.
In 2008, with a grant from the Okanagan Basin Water Board, Central Okanagan Science Opportunities for Kids and a team of regional educators developed "Unraveling the Myth of Abundance," an accompanying teacher's guide to the poster with 27 activities and several blackline master worksheets. The guide was developed for Grades 4-8, and 11-12.
